The 1st DPP Workshop, organised by ICCS and the Division of Circular Economy & Tracing of I-SENSEGroup/ICCS, concluded with great success on November 14th. Held online, the event attracted more than 185 participants, showcasing the transformative potential of Digital Product Passports (DPPs) in enhancing transparency and traceability across different sectors.
This first event, under the theme ‘Digital Product Passport & Tracing: Projects Joining Forces’ featured the DigInTraCE project, represented by Mr. Thodoris Theodoropoulos from ICCS. His insightful presentation explored the concept of a dynamically updated DPP in the wood and textile supply chains, as well as the integration of DPPs with advanced sorting techniques.

✔️ Diverse Approaches and Unified Goals: While many methodologies exist, a common framework for DPPs will be critical, integrating cross-industry needs and technologies.
✔️ Combined Methodologies: Participants discussed the benefits of combining DPPs with sorting systems, sensor integration, and other advanced tools.
✔️ Stakeholder Awareness: Raising awareness across sectors remains a priority, emphasizing the need for unified communication and understanding.
✔️ Growing Interest in DPP for Food: Interest in Digital Product Passports in the food sector continues to grow, highlighting the potential for new applications.
